What the Fluff? is a madcap festival honoring the invention of Marshmallow Fluff in Union Square and Somerville’s proud tradition of innovation.
This year, people from around the world can take part in this wacky festival that’s a little zanier than usual as we celebrate through the sphere of cyberspace!
In a world reinventing itself, Fluff Fest 2020 unites us – albeit virtually – through the one thing we can all believe in: the sweet, sticky, tasty, magical power of Fluff!
In Fluff We Trust: Sticking Together Thru Fluff takes a page from The Yummy Book and Marshmallow Fluff itself to dish you your funky festival using just four ingredients:
1. Innovation jubilation with arts, eats & oodles of family fun - Fluff hair dos anyone?!??
2. Fluffalicious feasts and must-have Fluff stuff from flufftastic Union Square businesses
3. Reveling in rendezvousing, near and far
4. Strutting the unexpected and quirky spirit that is Somerville...and Fluff

For the love of Fluff, boast your worldwide Fluff pride, support independently-owned by scoring your Fluff stuff online and stuffing yourself with fluffy foods, and flock with fellow friends-in-Fluff through the first-ever, virtual Fluff Festival.
A very special shoutout to the Fabulous Fluff Planning Team who has been meeting since January to make possible today’s memories. None of us could imagine that In Fluff We Trust would become the first-ever Fluff Festival of course, but their love for Fluff, endless creativity, and knack for sticky situation problem resolving sustained this beloved community tradition in a September that a spoonful of Somerville is exactly what we all crave. Simply put, the Fabulous Fluff Planning team is the peanut butter to Union Square Main Streets Fluff !
